A return to Leeds United is possible for James Milner
The first professional English club that James Milner joined was Leeds United as this was the club where the midfielder spent his youth career before eventually going on to join Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Manchester City and lastly Liverpool which is where he is currently performing in now.
It’s been over 8 years since Milner last played for Leeds United but his former club still appreciates what he accomplished during his time in Elland Road and James Milner was recently appointed as a chancellor of Leeds Children’s University, which is a role that the English midfielder accepted with ‘’great honor’’
James Milner is probably the most famous players in recent times to have come out of the youth academy of Leeds United. There was a point in his career where Milner was labeled as the: ‘’Future of Leeds United’’ and so far he has disappointed. After having made his way past Leeds United, he has gone to join some of the biggest clubs in England and lifted numerous titles but he has hinted that a return to his childhood club is possible.
“I don’t want to say yes definitely or no definitely, as you never know what can happen in football, but I’d always love to play for Leeds. It is always special to play for you hometown club.” James Milner said as he stated that there is a chance of him making a return to Leeds United as a player or possibly taking up another role.
The Englishman released those comments after he was appointed as a chancellor of Leeds Children’s University. Milner is currently performing for Liverpool under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp who has been giving him plenty of playing time since arriving to Anfield back in October of 2015.
