LIVERPOOL AGREE FEE FOR ROBERTSON

Premier League side Liverpool areset to complete the signing of Andrew Robertson from Hull City.

The Scot is set to be the third addition at Anfield this summer.

Robertson is decent and has the potential to grow into an excellent player at the club. He has decent experience in the top flight and would comfortably play backup to James Milner.

The initial fee is expected to be in the £8-10 million range. With the current inflated transfer market, that price tag seems a decent bargain for Liverpool. Liverpool met with the relegated side Hull on July 18th, according to Sky Sports. The fees were eventually agreed that afternoon so Liverpool are set to close the deal soonest.

Alberto Moreno would be clear to exit the side as the majority wants him out for his inconsistency last term. Milner was a great plus for him to have risen up to the occasion in the left back role last term. Jurgen Klopp does not want him to be the long term option hence the deal for Robertson.

If Robertson impresses in the role, or he is decent at best then Milner can retain his versatility; If not Milner can continue in the role. So this makes it a low risk signing for Liverpool. If he fails to do well altogether, better options can be gotten in the market with time,even though Liverpool have suffered heavily with this transfer policy in the past.

For Hull, it would be difficult to replace the player now especially when they are hoping to find their way back to the top flight. Robertson is an important player to the team so it is obvious that Liverpool are getting a better deal. For now an official confirmation by Liverpool is expected.
