Manchester City midfielder James Milner has revealed he has nightmares about missing the World Cup in Brazil next summer, stating that no player in the world wants to miss out on playing in the biggest tournament of The Beautiful Game.
Manchester City and England international midfielder James Milner has revealed how new club manager Manuel Pellegrini is teaching the players the style of the Spanish way of playing football, by making them watch hours of DVD footage of his former club Malaga. Milner admitted that the sole reason they were made to watch the DVDs is because the Chilean wants to teach them how to emulate the style of play of the Spanish side.
Manuel Pellegrini has been appointed as the new manager of Manchester City. His appointment was confirmed by the club on Friday.
Pellegrini will replace Roberto Mancini who had been sacked after the defeat of Manchester City against Wigan Athletic in the final of FA Cup last month.
Pellegrini has signed a 3-year deal with the Premier League runners up. His annual salary will be 3.4 million Pounds.
Signed from Aston Villa a few years ago, James Milner has managed to establish himself as one of the first team regulars at Manchester City despite intense competition from several stars.
The England midfielder has stated that he is extremely self-critical about his performances, and he does not need anyone like the manager to give a verdict on his performance. The 27-year-old has played under 11 managers in his last 11 years of football in the top flight. He has said that Mancini remains as one of the toughest managers to please amongst those he has worked under in these years.
